Ulnar Nerve Neuritis

Ulnar Nerve Neuritis is the inflammation on the Ulnar Nerve in the arm. which causes numbness or hand becoming weak.Ulnar neuritis is usually caused by activities that place constant pressure against the ulnar nerve at the elbow or wrist. Ulnar neuritis may also be caused by repetitive motion at the elbow or wrist. Symptoms of ulnar neuritis include elbow pain and tenderness, forearm pain, hand numbness (unilateral), and hand weakness (unilateral).

What are the treatments for Ulnar Nerve Neuritis?

Treatment for ulnar neuritis may include rest, an elbow splint, a sling, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Severe ulnar neuritis may require injections of corticosteroid medication, or surgery. Surgery is to relieve pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow.
